A VS Code extension that provides a GUI (dashboard, status bar, quick-pick menu) for managing a local LLM proxy server (FreeMaxxing) that pools free-tier LLM providers behind stable aliases, including lifecycle management, health polling, and auto-configuration of other AI extensions (Continue, Clin

Strengths

Clean separation of concerns with pure parsing functions testable outside VS Code, thoughtful Windows-specific process handling (shell spawn, taskkill), and a well-structured integrations registry pattern for configuring third-party AI extensions. The dashboard webview is feature-rich with filtering, sorting, detail rows, and responsive design.

Weaknesses

The runCli method is duplicated between healthCheck.ts and traceView.ts, and the extension is fundamentally a thin wrapper around an external CLI tool with limited novel logic — most value is in the external FreeMaxxing project. Test coverage is limited to the pure parser functions; no integration tests for process management, health check, or the integrations system.
